Buttock Lift at Duggal Plastic Surgery
A buttock lift is done to reshape and restore curves to sagging, deflated, or flat buttocks. This can be done by removing and lifting skin, or by adding fat to improve the curve and contour of the derriere.
In patients who have lost weight or have loose skin from aging, incisions can be placed along the upper buttocks, hidden by thong or bikini underwear, in order to lift and tighten the buttocks. In patients without significant loose skin, autologous fat grafting to the buttocks alone may lift, reshape, and tighten the derriere without additional incisions.
A traditional buttock lift, or autologous fat grafting, is done under general anesthesia and can be an outpatient procedure. An overnight stay may be required if the buttock lift is combined with other procedures. A specialized compression garment will be used after surgery to help support your new curves. Light activity can be resumed 1-2 days after surgery. Bruising and swelling will improve after 1-2 weeks and the final results will continue to refine for 4-6 weeks.
